Polypropylene vs. PVDF Casing Materials Guide

Selecting plastic casing materials requires choosing between Polypropylene (PP) and Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF) fluid paths. ### Polypropylene (PP) PP is cost-effective and handles mild acids/alkalines, with a maximum temperature limit of 70°C. It is vulnerable to highly oxidizing acids. ### PVDF (Kynar) PVDF handles concentrated industrial acids, organic solvents, and high temperatures up to 90°C, offering higher structural strength. ### Selection Matrix Choose PVDF for organic solvents, processing loops above 60°C, or concentrated nitric/hydrochloric acids. Choose PP for plating bath circulations and general waste water transfers.
