Diaphragm pumps—both Air Operated (AODD) and Electrically Operated (EODD) configurations—are the workhorses of industrial fluid transfer. However, without regular preventative diagnostics, performance degradation or diaphragm failure can occur, leading to hazardous solvent spills and downtime. ### 1. Diaphragm Torque Maintenance Flange bolts shift during operational loops. Check torque every 100 hours. Loose bolts cause leakage, while over-tightening crushes valve seats. ### 2. NRV Ball and Seat Inspection Check valves control pump flow. Scoring or wear reduces flow capacity by up to 40%. ### 3. Clean Driving Supply Compressed air moisture or electrical drive stalls lead to freezing or overheating. Proper filter-regulators ensure continuous operation.
